Pancevo, 2 June 2017 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine officially opened a new sensory room at the school for children with special needs “Mara Mandic” in Pancevo. The value of the sensory room is about 1.5 million dinars, and the funds for the purchase were raised at a charity auction in London of the paintings and clothes donated by the Serbian artist Cile Marinkovic and the famous fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic.
“The occasion of my today’s visit is the donation of the sensory room worth twelve thousand euros that we raised in London, and in that were helped by Cile Marinkovic and Roksanda Ilincic. We hope that in this way we will brighten up the children’s day in school and make it at least a little easier. My foundation will continue to help children in Serbia who need our help”, said Princess Katherine.
Mr. Branko Kurilj, director of the school “Mara Mandic”, as well as the entire staff of the school on this occasion thanked Crown Princess Katherine for the donation and expressed their desire to cooperate in new humanitarian projects.
Sensory room is made up of different elements that help stimulate the senses of hearing, sight, touch and smell. It is the place where people with sensory integration disorder can explore and develop their sensory skills, but also relax from stress and tension.

Belgrade, 25 May 2017 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine attended today, on the Ascension of Our Lord Day – Spasovdan, the City of Belgrade’s Slava, a Liturgy at the Church of the Ascension, and took part in the traditional Spasovdan Procession through the streets of Belgrade.
The Divine Liturgy at the Church of Ascension was officiated by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, and the procession through Belgrade started at the Church of Ascension in Admirala Geprata Street, then went to Kneza Milosa Street, Kralja Milana Street, followed by the first prayer for the wellbeing of the citizens of Belgrade near the Terazije Fountain. The procession then continued to Knez Mihailova Street and King Peter’s Street, to the Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel, where the second prayer for peace and progress was said. After that, the procession went to Kneza Sime Markovica Street, and ended in front of the Church of Ascension where a church service was held in memory of all fallen heroes of Belgrade.
Later in the day, Their Royal Highnesses will attend the official ceremony marking of Belgrade’s Slava at the Old palace (City hall) on invitation of Mr. Andreja Mladenovic, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade.

Topola, 26 May 2017 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine were the guests the “Second Panwine Gathering” organized by the “Wine Routes of Serbia” and the “Wine Routes of Croatia” associations at the Royal Winery in Oplenac. The gathering was attended by organizations and individuals from the countries that belong to the “Pannonian Wine Corridor”.
Themes of the “Second Panowine Gathering”, which will last until Sunday 28 May, will be the cultural and historical heritage of the Karadjordjevic Dynasty, hunting and gastronomy in Sumadija and establishing friendly cooperation between municipalities and citizens' associations in this area of business.
Royal winery was built in 1931 in the style of French basement and is located in the middle of royal vineyards in Topola. After six decades of decline, the Endowment of King Peter I began the revitalization of the royal vineyards. On the Oplenac hill, right next to the Mausoleum in Oplenac, there have been 11 hectares of vineyards, a winery in the King began production of high quality wine from Oplenac.
After visiting the winery, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited the church of St. George and the Foundation of King Peter I in Oplenac.

Belgrade, 25 May 2017 – "Serbian Royal Music of Karadjordjevic Dynasty" CD, performed by the pianist Jasmine Jankovic was presented tonight at the White Palace in the presence of numerous guests from the world of arts, science and culture. The promotion was organized in cooperation with the publishing house Metropolis Music.
"I am very happy and proud that Professor Jankovic and the record label “Metropolis” continued traditionally close relations between Serbian culture and the Serbian Royal Family through this edition. My wife and I congratulate the publication of this remarkable musical edition", said HRH Crown Prince Alexander.
After the introductory words of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander, the guests were addressed by Professor Ljiljana Canic, editor-in-chief of Metropolis Music, Mr. Dragomir Acovic, Chairman of the Privy Council, Mrs. Aleksandra Paladin, musicologist and music critic and Mrs. Jasmina Jankovic, pianist.
The audience enjoyed the performance of the works of Joseph Schlesinger, Alojz Kalauz, Stanislav Binicki, with coffee and refreshments provided by "Bean and Leaf".
The works that are dedicated to the Royal Dynasty Karadjordjevic represent the authentic image of Serbian piano music of the nineteenth and early twentieth century and provide a basis for the development of new stylistic language that marked the time that came later.

The first piece was laid out by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, and beside the Royal Couple the ceremony was also attended by the Holy Assembly of Bishops, the outgoing President HE Mr Tomislav Nikolic, Minister of Culture and Information HE Mr Vladan Vukosavljevic, Russian ambassador HE Mr. Alexander Chepurin, Belarus ambassador HE Mr. Vladimir Chushev, Gazprom Neft CEO Aleksander Dyukov and the Deputy CEO Mr. Kirill Kravchenko. His Holiness Patriarch Irinej awarded representatives of Gazprom Neft with the order of St. Sava.
The corner stone of St. Sava Temple was laid by His Majesty King Peter II (the father of Crown Prince Alexander) on 10 May 1935 Metropolitan Gavrilo of Montenegro the future Serbian Patriarch Gavrilo V of Serbia.

Belgrade, May 20, 2017 – An exhibition presenting the historical ties of the Karadjordjevic Dynasty and the great scientist Nikola Tesla, was officially opened tonight at the White Palace. The exhibition was organized thanks to cooperation between the Royal Palace and the Museum of Nikola Tesla.
The exhibition was officially opened by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander. Present were numerous distinguished guests from the world of culture, science and art.
“When they met in New York, my father was very young and Tesla was very old! One represented the future, the other one represented history. The fate wanted the future to turn to be uncertain, and the past to be permanent! Six decades later we remember and mention both with melancholy and pride. For this we have good reasons! Both had ingrown into our souls and our hearts, they both represent the very essence of who we are, what we should be and what should not be changed, even if it were possible “, said His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander in his speech.
Visitors to the exhibition “Nikola Tesla and the Karadjordjevic Dynasty” will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the contacts of Nikola Tesla and the members of the Karadjordjevic Royal Family, about the Royal orders, medals and diplomas by which the Karadjordjevic’s awarded this great scientist. Among the exhibits is the famous photograph from the hotel "New Yorker" where King Peter II met with Tesla in 1942, and the photo of Tesla from the studio of Princess Vilma Lwoff-Parlaghy and many more.
This interesting exhibition was available for a tour the same night as part of “Museum Night” until the early morning hours, and the visitors had the opportunity to refresh themselves with coffee and refreshments of “Bean and Leaf”.
The exhibition will be open on weekdays until Thursday, June 1, in terms of visits at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Belgrade, May 20, 2017 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine, accompanied by her sister Mrs. Betty Roumeliotis, visited “Brook Hill” International School charity bazaar where funds were raised for the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, in aid of children and all those in need.
The staff, students’ parents and friends of “Brook Hill” International School organized games, raffle, refreshments, and charity sale of toys, books, clothing and cosmetics.
Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine thanked everyone who organized the charity bazaar, as well as those who contributed in raising funds for children and the vulnerable.
