CROWN PRINCESS AND LIFELINE CHICAGO CONTINUE RENOVATING KOVIN HOSPITAL

HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine, continued their support of the Psychiatric Hospital in Kovin, Serbia, by renovating the entire first floor of the hospital.

The funding of this enormous undertaking was made possible by an incredibly generous donation from The John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation through The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago. This renovation of the entire first floor of the hospital consisted of all new electrical installations and all new lighting, the plastering and painting of the entire floor, the painting of the interior joinery, and the installation of new tiles in all hallways and kitchen so that the patients in this ward will be able to enjoy vastly improved living conditions.

This project is the continuation of the ongoing support to this institution via generous donations from The John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation through The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Chicago, as they made possible the renovations of the ground floor and exterior of this hospital last year.

“We continue to help the Special Psychiatric Hospital Kovin so that the patients have the best possible conditions during treatment and recovery. I am very grateful to John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation and Lifeline Chicago for once again showing great devotion and dedication to providing for those in need.

Thanks to our wonderful people in the diaspora and their generosity, the Kovin Hospital patients will spend their time in a much nicer environment” said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Dr. Jovanka Petrovic, psychiatrist, the acting-duty Director of the hospital, thanked the John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation, HRH Crown Princess Katherine, and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago on behalf of all patients and all employees of the Psychiatric Hospital Kovin for this valuable donation and contribution to their work. She added that, in order to better treat people with mental disorders, they continue to improve the conditions in the hospital and thus improve and modernize the work of the psychiatric service.
