CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE EQUIPS HOME FOR CHILDREN IN ALEKSINAC, SERBIA

The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, which is under the patronage of Her Royal Highness, made a significant donation to the Hristina Markisic Home for Children and Youth in Aleksinac, Serbia, to provide for better living conditions of the children through a generous contribution from the Pittsburgh Tri-State Committee of Lifeline Chicago.

This Home was presented with 15 new beds, mattresses, waterproof mattress pads, and bed covers, in addition to 30 new bedding and pillow sets, which was made possible by the most unselfish donation from the Pittsburgh Tri-State Committee of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago.

“I am very happy that we have successfully implemented another important project aimed at helping children. I sincerely thank the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago and its Pittsburgh/Tri-State Committee for the funds raised and for their willingness to always support and provide to the youngest.

It is crucial that we do what we can to support our children, to ensure that they have good conditions for living, learning, and having the best possible childhood. By providing to children, we are ensuring their future, but also the future of all of us”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

“On behalf of the users of the Home for Children and Youth "Hristina Markisic" Aleksinac, we thank the HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago for the years of continuous support, as well as the Pittsburgh Tri-State Committee for this year’s equipment donation. It is of great importance to our Home to have the equipment continuously provided in order to raise the standard of accommodation services to the children and young people with disabilities, as well as to the children without adequate parental care. The attention and support you have selflessly been providing to our users for years are especially important, and we are immensely grateful to you for that.
