CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE HEARTFULLY FOR KOSOVO AND METOHIJA

HRH Crown Princess Katherine continues to support Serbs living in difficult conditions in Kosovo and Metohija. The Crown Princess Foundation in Belgrade, together with the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, again this year helped socially vulnerable Serbian families from the municipality of Kosovska Kamenica and delivered them the necessary packages of humanitarian aid.

For 36 families with a total of 186 members with 96 children from the villages of Berivojce, Robovac, Ranilug, Glogovce, Gornje Korminjane, Donje Korminjane, Tomance, Pancelo, Veliko Ropotovo, Rucavica, Domorovce, Gornje Mocare and Bosce, the aid has been provided in the form of packages with basic food and hygiene products, while toys, school backpacks, and school supplies were delivered for the youngest.

The aid also arrived at 2 primary schools in Kosovo and Metohija, which have a total of 400 pupils. Elementary school “Veljko Dugosevic” in Ranilug and elementary school “Petar Petrovic Njegos” from Kusce, received a large amount of school material in the form of notebooks, books, markers, crayons, pencils, board games, and balls. School supplies were donated by Saint Sava Academy School in Illinois along with Lifeline Chicago donors.  

“I am very grateful to all the big-hearted donors who generously supported the work of Lifeline Chicago and my Foundation in Belgrade, and helped us deliver this donation to those who need it most – the Serbs living in unimaginably difficult conditions in Kosovo and Metohija. This is difficult for me because I know what and how many difficulties Serbs in our Kosovo are facing every day, and I am always happy when we can help them. That is why we must not stop.

I appeal to everyone to help our people overcome the difficult days and challenges they face every day as easily as possible. My husband, Crown Prince Alexander, and I are always there to help as much as we can, and the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija are always in our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
