CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE HELPS “VUK KARADZIC” SCHOOL IN THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA

Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago and the Crown Princess Katherine Foundation provided a donation to the elementary school "Vuk Karadzic" in Bjeljina, the Republic of Srpska, in the form of a complete replacement of interior carpentry, replacement of entrance doors, 9 windows, as well as the installation of a new heating system and two new chalkboards and two new cork boards for classrooms.

This very valuable donation was made possible thanks to the generosity of the John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation and the Nelson Family Charitable Foundation, which will notably increase the conditions for learning for the children and make the important work on the education of students much easier for their teachers.

“With the great help of friends and good people from abroad who have not forgotten their homeland, my Foundation in Belgrade could constantly fulfill its mission, which is to always be with our people and help where it is most needed. My biggest reward is to see happy smiles on the faces of the children. I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation and the Nelson Family Charitable Foundation, which have been closely cooperating with Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago for many years, selflessly helping people and children in Serbia and Republika Srpska”, stated HRH Crown princess Katherine.

“We are very grateful to HRH Crown Princess Katherine, the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, as well as to the John and Mildred Medic Wuchenic Foundation and the Nelson Family Charitable Foundation, who enabled us to teach in our school in the conditions we have long wished for. For the first time in 70 years, a new eco-friendly heating system has been installed, and complete carpentry, nine windows, and an entrance door have been replaced. On behalf of the children, their parents and the teaching staff in the village of Popovi, we are immensely grateful for the great contribution to our school”, said Mr. Predrag Racanovic, the principal of the elementary school “Vuk Karadzic” in Bjeljina.
