CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE’S RESPONSE TO APPEAL TO HELP HUMAN TRAFFICKING VICTIMS

Responding to the appeal of the Serbian Centre for the Protection of Victims of Human Trafficking, HRH Crown Princess Katherine, together with Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness, and the Crown Princess’s Foundation in Belgrade, sent help by providing to the Centre numerous large appliances, furniture, clothing, food supplies, and toys.

Thanks to the generous donors of Lifeline Chicago, the following items were delivered to the Centre: a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a dishwasher, three boilers, eight mattresses, a stove, a refrigerator, a freezer, a vacuum cleaner, in addition to numerous other household appliances. In addition to the afore-mentioned items, the HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation also provided new clothing, toys for the children, hygiene products, and food supplies.

“I am very happy that I was given the opportunity to help equip the Centre for Human Trafficking Victims’ Protection. I am always there for the people of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, and I will always do everything in my power to provide help and support. I would like to express my gratitude to the wonderful donors and supporters of the Lifeline Chicago Office, who once again showed their generosity.

It is extremely important to talk about this problem and raise the awareness of the community, to give our contribution and support the victims, as well as to raise our voice so that the tragedy that these people have suffered will not happen again," said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

“We thank Her Royal Highness for the great help and support she has given us, as well as the Lifeline Chicago Office, for their understanding and quick response to the appeal we sent," said the acting general manager of the Centre for Human Trafficking Victims’ Protection, Ms. Aleksandra Ljubojevic.
