CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AND LIFELINE CHICAGO CONTINUE RENOVATING CHILDREN’S HOME IN BANJA LUKA
28 Dec 2023
Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness, and The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in Belgrade, continue their support of The Rada Vranjesevic Home for Children in Banja Luka, in Republika Srpska, as the third phase of renovations was successfully completed.
During this phase of the project, the kitchen, dining room, living room, and four bedrooms of Educational Group Number 9 were completely renovated, all to provide the children who reside in this home vastly improved living conditions.
This significant undertaking included the complete reconstruction of walls, the replacement of the kitchen floor and wall tiles, the installation of new kitchen cabinets, as well as the purchases of new furniture for the living and dining rooms, including a sectional sofa and a large dining table with eight chairs. Additionally, twelve new nightstands and four new large armoires were purchased.
This initiative was made possible by the generous funds raised during the 5th Annual Lifeline Chicago Golf Outing 2023, an annual event held each year in Florida, and organized by Mr. Rade Savić, who oversees the golf tournaments. The funds raised during these events are dedicated to supporting children in homes in Serbia and in Republika Srpska.
"I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the generous donors of Lifeline Chicago and commend the dedication and determination of all Lifeline Chicago Board members for their commitment to aiding our people. This significant contribution greatly enhances the quality of childhood for these beautiful children.
Once again, our donors have demonstrated their unwavering willingness to provide aid and share the love in their hearts. By giving to these children, we are also ensuring a brighter and more secure future for our country. The knowledge that we have brought joy to their hearts inspires me to continue striving for the well-being of our people and children in Serbia and the Republic of Srpska," stated HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
“We are very grateful to our long-term friends, Crown Princess Katherine Foundation, Mr. Rade Savić, and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago for the renovation works that were performed, and which significantly updated the quality of stay for children and youth. You should know that the young ones have rejoiced so much for the new space they stay, the joy and smiles on their faces are priceless to us. Thank you for thinking of them and having compassion for their destiny”, said Ms. Darijana Kecman, director of the Rada Vranješević Home in Banja Luka.
