CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AND LIFELINE CHICAGO HELP HOMES FOR CHILDREN
24 Jan 2024
Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago and The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in Belgrade continue providing aid and assistance to children without parental care in Serbia and in Republika Srpska. Another charitable project was successfully completed at the Home for Children on Ustanicka Street 19 and at the Drinka Pavlovic Home, both institutions are part of the Zvecanska Center for the Protection of Infants, Children, and Young People.
Led by HRH Crown Princess Katherine’s vision that each child in this world deserves to have the best possible living conditions, 56 new mattresses, 65 bedding sets, 116 pillows, 67 bedcovers, and 25 bed toppers were delivered to the two Homes. This great contribution was made possible by the generosity of Dr. Nikola and Mrs. Tatjana Nenadovich, who sponsored two very well organized humanitarian concerts in the presence of Their Royal Highness to benefit Lifeline Chicago, and starring internationally renowned Serbian violinist, Stefan Milenkovic, and the Camerata Chicago Chamber Orchestra, held in Chicago and Wheaton Illinois (USA).
Also, an additional donation of 8 beds, mattresses, and bedding sets was delivered to the Drinka Pavlovic Home, generously provided by a donation from the Three Kolo Group – The Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. George of Joliet, Illinois, The Circle of Serbian Sisters Kneginja Zorka of Lansing, Illinois, and The Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. Archangel Michael of Lansing, Illinois, long-time dedicated supporters of Lifeline Chicago.
“My husband and I are very grateful to the Nenadovich family and all the people with great hearts who made the charity concerts possible in aid of children in Serbia. We are so fondly remembering the most beautiful concerts which we enjoyed very much, and our joy is much greater now seeing how much good these superb concerts have brought to our children.
We are also very grateful to our dear sisters from the Three Kolo Group, who are once again proudly continuing the tradition of one of the oldest humanitarian organizations of the Serbian people. This donation shows that when we are working together, we can do so much for those in need.
My heart is calmer knowing that this aid will contribute to making the childhood of these children better and as carefree as possible,” said HRH Crown Princess Katherine on this occasion.
Mrs. Biljana Jovanovic and Mrs. Hristina Kadijevic, Directors of the two Homes, expressed their gratitude to Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose Patron for more than three decades is Her Royal Highness, for their continued support of the children.
