PRINCESS KATHERINE DELIGHTED CHILDREN WITH GIFTS AT CHILDREN’S SHELTER

On the International Day of Charity, HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited children and young people in the Shelter for Children of Belgrade and delighted them with gifts. The children welcomed Crown Princess Katherine and thanked her for the gifts she gave them – toys, blankets, and hygiene kits.

"We are very grateful to Her Royal Highness Princess Katherine for her visit and the gifts she gave the children for marking International Day of Charity in such a beautiful way. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Katherine and Crown Prince Alexander are great friends of our Shelter and every year, for major holidays, children and young people receive their attention and gifts" – said Marija Grbić Živanović, coordinator.

“Children are always in my heart and through all my and my Foundation’s activities, we pay the most attention to projects aimed at the well-being of children and young people. The International Day of Charity that we are celebrating today should remind us of sharing and compassion and care for those who need help the most, and children should always be our highest priority", said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The Shelter for Children in Belgrade provides temporary and complete care and accommodation for children and young people of both sexes, aged 7-18, from Belgrade, as well as children from all over Serbia who are on the territory of Belgrade.

At the initiative of the United Nations, since 2012, every September 5 is International Day of Charity.
