CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AND LIFELINE CHICAGO CONTINUE RENOVATING KOVIN HOSPITAL

Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, and HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in Serbia continue their support of the Psychiatric Hospital in Kovin, Serbia, by completely renovating the bathrooms in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Department of the hospital.

The funding of this important undertaking was made possible by a generous donation from The John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation through Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago and The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in Serbia. This renovation, which is a continuation of the support being provided to this medical institution, included the complete refurbishment of two large restroom areas, and one smaller bathroom, which included nine shower stalls, seven bathroom stalls, and ten sinks. It should be emphasized that The Wuchenich Foundation has provided aid to Kovin Hospital on several occasions.

“We continue to help the Special Psychiatric Hospital Kovin so that the patients have the best possible conditions during treatment and recovery. I am very grateful to The John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation and Lifeline Chicago for once again showing great devotion and dedication to providing for those in need. Thanks to our wonderful people in the diaspora and their generosity, the Kovin Hospital patients have a much nicer environment and better living conditions,” said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Dr. Jovanka Petrovic, Psychiatrist and acting Director of the hospital thanked The John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation, HRH Crown Princess Katherine, and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago on behalf of all patients and all employees of the Psychiatric Hospital Kovin for this valuable donation and contribution to their work. She added that to better treat the patients of this hospital, it is imperative that the conditions of the hospital are improved and modernized.
