CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AND LIFELINE CHICAGO CONTINUE SUPPORT FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL IN MRAMORAK
10 Mar 2025

The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, under the patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, have made another generous donation to Sava Maksimović Primary School in the village of Mramorak, in the Municipality of Kovin.
This donation of musical instruments, provided by Mr. Jack Radavich, significantly contributes to the development of the school’s young musical talents.
A large number of talented students from the Sava Maksimović Primary School Orchestra performed for donors, supporters, friends, and members of the Lifeline Chicago Board, who traveled to Serbia as part of their traditional Humanitarian Mission Trip. The students’ impressive performance, led by music professor and conductor Mrs. Violeta Pomar, delighted the audience, especially Mr. Jack Radavich, Mr. Mitch Zakula, and Mr. and Mrs. Duško Trajković, who are musicians themselves. Mr. Radavich, a graduate of ASU with a degree in Music, taught high school music before transitioning to the electronics industry. However, his passion for music remains strong, and he continues to perform as a jazz bassist in the United States, playing with many renowned jazz groups.
Mr. Jack Radavich donated three Casio keyboards, a large glockenspiel, a metallophone, a Korg digital piano, an Alesis recital keyboard, 10 stands, corresponding adapters, and extension cables. This valuable donation was transported to Serbia in the same container that carried Christmas gifts for children in need, provided by Lifeline Chicago, and was delivered to the school, bringing great joy to the members of the school orchestra.
"The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Chicago have once again brought immense joy to the students and staff of Sava Maksimović Primary School in Mramorak with this generous donation. This contribution is particularly significant for our school orchestra, which has been a laureate of Serbia’s national primary school competition for two consecutive years. The new instruments highlight the Foundation’s deep understanding of the challenges we face. Now, we can fully enjoy creating and performing music with the rich selection of instruments provided by Lifeline. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone at the Foundation for their incredible support. Thank you for listening to us, understanding our needs, and generously rewarding our efforts," said school principal Ljiljana Krničan and music professor Violeta Pomar.
"I am deeply grateful to Mr. Jack Radavich for this donation, which will play a crucial role in providing quality education and enhancing the musical and artistic skills of the students. Thanks to Lifeline Chicago and my Foundation in Belgrade, the children of this school know that we are always thinking of them. We will continue to support our schools because our children deserve every opportunity to reach their full potential," said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
