Crown Princess Katherine Delivers Two Patient Monitors Worth $21,000 To The Clinic For Neurosurgery At The Clinical Center Of Serbia

Belgrade, 3 August 2017 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine officially handed over two patient monitors worth US $ 21,000 to the children's department of the Clinic for Neurosurgery at the Clinical Center of Serbia, as well as the LG television to make the stay of the kids at the hospital more pleasant.

This valuable medical equipment is a donation from the Lifeline New York Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine. The funds were raised at a humanitarian event in Boston thanks to the Serb families there, as well as the medical staff from the Dana Farber Institute of Boston, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Boston and the Massachusetts General Hospital. The LG television is a generous gift from LG.

“The reason of my visit to the Clinic of Neurosurgery at the Clinical Center of Serbia today, is a donation of two patient monitors and one television for the children's department. This valuable donation is worth us $ 21,000. This donation is a result of fundraising at the charity dinner in Boston, which was organized with a great help of Dana Farber Children’s Cancer Institute from Boston. I thank very much for this donation to our people who live in Boston, as well as to Lifeline humanitarian organization who’s patron I am. I hope that this donation will help the children from this department. My husband Crown Prince Alexander and I will do our best to help as much as possible in the future too, especially children’s departments and children’s hospitals. Recently we delivered 3D mammography machine worth $300,000 to the Centre for Radiology at the Clinical Centre Nis, and this donation was provided in cooperation with the United States company Hologic Inc”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Crown Princess Katherine thanked everyone who helped this significant donation and announced new deliveries of sterilization medical equipment worth US $ 1,400,000 in the upcoming period, all over Serbia.

The humanitarian delivery at the Clinical Center was also attended by Professor Dr. Milos Jokovic, director of the Clinic for Neurosurgery at the Clinical Center of Serbia, who thanked Crown Princess Katherine and expressed their wish to continue cooperation and helping the children with cancer.
