Gracanica, 28 December 2018 – In order to help the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, the Crown Princess Katherine’s Foundation has sent a donation worth more than 6,000 € to the meal centre "Mother of the Nine Jugovic"

Help packages for the Serbian population consist of basic foods – flour, pasta, beans, rice, spices, soups, oils, sugar etc, and the donation has been provided thanks to the Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine, and companies Zitopromet , Sunoko, Moravka Pro and Victoria Group.

"All people, regardless of their religious or ethnic background, should live in harmony and mutual respect and provide living conditions worthy of a man. Today's donation is just a little help for our people, but we must not stop there, I appeal to everyone to help our people get through the difficult days and challenges they face every day. Kosovo is Serbia, and Serbia is our country and my husband Crown Prince Alexander and I will always help as much as we can”, said Crown Princess Katherine in her message to the Serbs in Kosmet.

The humanitarian organization "Mother of the Nine Jugovic" manages 6 meal centres throughout Kosovo and Metohija, providing meals for over two thousand people. The management of this organization have pointed out that they are very happy to have received this donation, which will help our people in Kosovo and Metohija to welcome the New Year with less concern.

The organization was established in 2000 and is officially registered by the UNMIK. During its work, the organization has worked intensively with international and local NGOs. The organization is headquartered in the Gracanica Monastery.
