30 Sep 2022
The ENT Department of the Health Centre “Vozdovac” in Belgrade, Serbia, received a large donation of urgent and necessary medical equipment, which was provided by The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, which is under the patronage of Her Royal Highness.
The contribution of the medical equipment was made possible by a generous donation from Mr. and Mrs. David and Nada Stevens, who were in attendance at the Health Centre, along with staff members of The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation, on the day of the delivery of the equipment. The donation to the ENT Department consisted of the following: audiometers, glass syringes with extensions, cotton holders, specialized larynx mirrors, Hartmann speculums for children, indirect laryngeal grippers (STORZ), and Hartmann tongue compressors for children and adults.
“Each donation to our health centres and hospitals brings me comfort and joy because I know that it will help many lives to be saved, and many patients receive better treatment. Our medical staff, our doctors, nurses, technicians are wonderful people of great knowledge and expertise, who wholeheartedly help their patients, and they need every possible support in their noble work.
That is why this donation from Mr. and Mrs. David and Nada Stevens is so important, and I am very grateful to them and Lifeline Chicago, for once again being determined to help, and not forgetting the needs of the people of Serbia”, stated HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
“The entire medical staff of Health Centre Vozdovac is very grateful to HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Mr. and Mrs. Stevens, and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago for the donation that will be very valuable for the ENT Department of our Centre. Our institution is treating 354,000 patients per year on average, out of which 20% are children, and we highly appreciate this support for our work in preserving health" said Dr. Nevenka Velickovic, General Manager of Health Centre “Vozdovac”.
