HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE THE PATRON OF THE SERBIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN LATIN DANCE

Belgrade, 4 June 2017 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine and TRH’s daughter Alison attended the National championship in Latin dance in BelExpo center in Belgrade. HRH Crown Princess Katherine is the main patron of this competition, and HRH Crown Prince Alexander presented awards to winners in senior competition.

“It is my great honor and pleasure to attend one of the largest competitions in our country – the National championship in Latin dance. I am very glad to see that dance tradition is cherished in our country, as well as elegance that has always been synonymous with great palace balls. I am glad to have the opportunity to support the enthusiasm of all these young people people and i wish to single out Mr. Ivan Mileusnic whose “Dare to dance” dance club is the organizer of this great competition. His love of dance will be felt by everyone here tonight“, said Crown Princess Katherine in her speech.

In the qualifying tournament and the National championship there were more than 200 dance pairs in the older categories, while the youngest categories involved about 600 children aged 7 to 11 years. Winners were selected in the categories of Youth, Older youth and Senior.

The organizers of the championship are dance club “Dare to Dance“, Dance Association of Serbia and the Ministry of Youth and Sport. All the participants and attendees had the opportunity to freshen up with “Bean and Leaf“ coffee.
