LIFELINE CHICAGO AND CROWN PRINCESS’ FOUNDATION DELIVER CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO ORPHANS

HRH Crown Princess Katherine proudly continues the tradition of bringing joy to children in need at Christmas. Ms. Donna M. Sekulich, Esq, the President of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago together with the representative of the Crown Princess Katherine’s Foundation in Belgrade, visited today four Homes for Children and gave Christmas gifts to the children who reside in these institutions.

After large Christmas receptions held yesterday, where more than 1,000 children in need played and joyfully received gifts in the White Palace at the Royal family’s traditional event, holiday activities continued today with these visits. The gifts which were delivered today to each child are personalized per age, gender, and clothing and shoe sizes. These presents were prepared with great love and dedication by Lifeline Chicago, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine. The generous donors, benefactors, volunteers, and Board members of Lifeline Chicago, made it possible again this year for children in need in Serbia and in Republika Srpska to feel the joy and love of Christmas and of the holiday season. When the children in these Homes receive a festive holiday package with their name written on it, they know that there is someone across the globe who cares deeply for them.

The institutions that were visited today are The Home for the Protection of Children and Youth on Ustanicka Street, The Drinka Pavlovic Home for Children, The Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj Home for Children and Youth and Maternity Home. All institutions are units of the “Zvecanska Center for the Protection of Infants, Children, and Young People," which has a rich history of very successful cooperation with The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation.

When we provide to them, to their wellbeing, when we bring them comfort, we provide to our future" said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The directors of all 4 institutions expressed their gratitude to HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Lifeline Chicago, and Crown Princess Katherine’s Foundation, for their continued support of these institutions and in making a difference in the lives of the youngsters who reside in them.
